The Transcona Council for Seniors Inc. offers the following transportation programs:

Rides to Medical Appointments

Are you unable to drive? Are you uncomfortable driving in winter or beyond Transcona? Let our awesome Volunteer Drivers take you to and from your medical appointments. Rides are provided Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. A ride within Transcona is $10 cash for a round trip and outside of Transcona is $20 cash for a round trip. If the ride from the time of pick up to the time of drop is 3 hours or longer, the rides are double in cost. All monies go directly to our drivers for their time and gas.

Bus to Get Groceries

If you have no other means of shopping for your groceries (i.e., you no longer drive, and you have no family or friends who do the shopping for you, and you’re unable to order on-line for grocery delivery), we offer a bus ride to take you for groceries twice a month. Ride our Grocery Bus to stores like Sobey’s, No Frills, Fresh-Co, WalMart and Giant Tiger to shop for your own groceries.

Bus to Entertainment

If you’d like to come out to our monthly Entertainment & Dine In Meal and have no other means of getting there, join us on our Bus that will pick you up from your home, bring you to the Entertainment & Dine-In Meal and return you back home after you’ve had a fun time and delicious meal.
